St. Paul, Minnesota – September 30, 2015 – Smart Data Solutions, one of the nation’s fastest growing health care electronic data interchange providers, successfully concluded their 13th annual Customer Symposium that was held at the historic Hotel 340 in St. Paul, MN. The event brought together a community of customers, employees, and partners to network and collaborate on the latest topics and trends in the marketplace today and to plan for tomorrow.
The event kicked off with welcoming comments from Smart Data Solutions co-founder Pat Bollom, followed by a presentation from Michael Ramlet. Ramlet is the founder and publisher of The Morning Consult, a digital media company covering the intersection of public policy and business strategy in healthcare, defense, energy, financial services, and technology industries.
Robert Bowman, Senior Manager of the CAQH Committee of the Operating Rule for Information Exchange (CORE) presented an overview of CAQH CORE, its operating rules, and the benefits of CAQH CORE certification. Ashley Gillihan, of Alston & Bird’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group, led a discussion on health benefit plan compliance issues.
Other speakers included Jon Prince, CEO of Data Smart Solutions (DSS), who discussed how DSS utilizes industry-leading predictive analytics to evaluate and identify methods to optimize benefit plan design and reduce healthcare costs. Mark Fogarty, EDI business development director at SDS, led an overview of Smart Data Stream’s Clearinghouse services.
