August 3, 2022 – Eagan, Minnesota – Smart Data Solutions (SDS), a leading provider of data management, claim routing, and workflow solutions to Health Plans and TPAs, acquires ClaimLynx, a Minnesota-based medical claims clearinghouse.
The move to acquire ClaimLynx first started in Q1 of 2021, as Smart Data Solutions was looking to expand its clearinghouse operations outside of its own, the Smart Data Stream Clearinghouse. This process took approximately 6-months, and the deal was signed the morning of June 30, 2021. The acquisition of ClaimLynx fits into Smart Data Solutions’ mission to make the healthcare market more efficient by leveraging technology to provide effective, high-quality claims processing solutions.
John Prange, Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor of Smart Data Solutions commented, “The ClaimLynx acquisition complements our strategy to increase overall reach in the clearinghouse market, particularly in the Provider market.” He continued, “In addition, our technical systems allow us to provide a broader service set to ClaimLynx customers while improving connectivity for our existing Payer customers.”
Smart Data Solutions’ Stream Clearinghouse is a robust medical claims clearinghouse, allowing Providers to submit and track claims securely from their web browser. Smart Data Solutions also applies edits to the transactions, thus minimizing rejects at the Payer level. Additional features of the Stream Clearinghouse Provider Portal include: professional, dental, or facility claims submission, eligibility checking, claim status tracking, electronic remittance advice (ERAs), Provider registration, and dashboard volume views.
