• Design and implement new networks at remote offices

• Diagnose and resolve networking issues

Systems Architecture and Administration

• Design and implement new server architectures to meet the demands of a growing organization
• 80% Debian Linux

Database Administration

• High availability MySQL cluster administration
• High availability MS-SQL cluster administration

Web Server Administration

• Apache
• Tomcat
• IIS

Storage Administration

• SAN
• NAS

Disaster Recovery Management

• Manage and maintain a disaster recovery environment
• Re-architect the DR environment to reduce RTO, turning the DR environment from a cold site to a hot site

Hardware Installation

• Install new hardware in our colocation environment

Leadership

• Mentor junior team members and develop talent

What we’re looking for?

Required skills:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Previous experience with technologies listed in previous section

Position type and expected hours of work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m CST. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as defined by the department manager.

Smart Data Solutions is located in Eagan, MN. This position is a hybrid position, with occasional work from home opportunities.
